M-Tron

M-Tron is a commercial organization who jealously guard their electromagnetic technology which is extensively used for plasma containment in the small fusion reactors required for all spacecraft. Attempts to reverse-engineer this technology have largely failed due to the advanced material sciences required to reproduce it. M-Tron consistently re-invests their substantial profits in further EM, QED and materials research which not only maintains but increases their lead.
